GigaHouse™ System
Our GigaCrete homes and buildings are made with steel-framed GigaPanels™. These rigid insulation expanded polystyrene (EPS) foam panels encapsulate structural steel studs and patented connectors. GigaPanels™ are coated with PlasterMax™ on the interior for resistance to abuse, fire damage, cracking, indentation, water damage, and abrasion. On the exterior, GigaPanels™ are coated with StuccoMax™ for waterproofing and weather resistance.
PlasterMax™ is formulated for industrial strengths exceeding 8,500 psi.
StuccoMax™ offers over 3,500 PSI compressive strength and performs beyond any conventional exterior stucco in the market. It has excellent water resistance, permeability, impact and abrasion resistance, as well as resistance to mold and mildew.
Typhoon Resistant
Our innovative Gigahouse™ system ensures durable, long-lasting walls and roofs that can withstand hurricane winds up to 200 mph. In fact, the most stringent building code in the United States for hurricanes – in the Florida county of Miami-Dade – has certified GigaCrete for Category 5 Hurricane standards (durability against sustained wind speeds of 245 mph).
In the Bahamas, St. Thomas and Haiti, our GigaCrete houses have survived multiple hurricanes with sustained winds of 180 mph and gusts over 235 mph with no damage or water intrusion. GigaCrete is rated for seismic zone 4: areas at highest risk for strong earthquakes, primarily in and around the Pacific Ring of Fire, which includes Guam and the Northern Marianas. GigaCrete buildings have survived the strongest storms, fires and earthquakes around the world.
Bulletproof
BallistiCrete™ bulletproof coating is a plaster mix with exceptional ballistic impact resistance, perfect for specialized buildings or hostile environments. Our Ballistic panels have superior ceramic like strength and hardness qualities designed to protect against all handgun bullets, most rifle bullets, and armor piercing rounds.
BallistiCrete™ provides a hard, durable coating over many wall surfaces, delivering over 8,500 PSI of compressive strength (and more typically delivering a PSI of over 9,000). BallistiCrete™ can convert any space into a fortified enclosure, providing a safe haven until first responders arrive.
Comfortable and beautiful
Our GigaCrete homes and buildings are eminently livable: cool, quiet and beautiful.
Walls are super insulated with higher R values, creating such energy efficiency that HVAC system loads (heating, ventilation and air conditioning) in GigaCrete buildings can be reduced by as much as 60 per cent. The time to heat or cool the structure is significantly shortened.
GigaCrete homes can cut 55 decibels off incoming sound. This reduces heavy truck traffic (90 decibels) to a mere 35 decibels, between a whisper and light rain. Adjoining rooms are soundproof.
PlasterMax™’s combination of durability and versatility makes it the ideal finish for walls in high traffic living and work spaces. PlasterMax™ offers a wide range of decorative options and walls/panels coated with PlasterMax™ retain their aesthetic appeal while resisting abuse.

GigaCrete homes are built to industry-topping standards, in a fraction of the time it takes to build traditional concrete homes. We train unskilled labor to install pre-fabricated panels and apply coatings, erecting buildings quickly and efficiently.
GigaCrete’s building system is pre-certified by structural engineers (PE) and utilizes steel studs and EPS foam approved by the International Code Council (ICC). Installation of steel framed EPS panels is very fast, thanks to our innovative GigaPanel system which features pre-located structural studs.

GigaHomes are typically at least 50 per cent more energy efficient than standard concrete (ICF) homes, registering at the higher end of the R-value scale for insulation: from R-24 to R-60.
Our products employ sustainable materials and green manufacturing technology designed to be environmentally responsible. Steel, which frames all GigaCrete buildings, is the most recycled material on Earth. And unlike traditional concrete, there is no Portland cement in our building system, allowing GigaCrete to eliminate excessive energy use and exorbitant CO2 emissions. Our coating products are 100 per cent non-toxic, with zero VOC (volatile organic compounds). They use absolutely no silica, emit zero pollutants, use less water than similar products on the market, and exceed USEPA standards for indoor air quality.

GigaCrete raw materials that are shipped to the island stand up to the same specifications and quality as in the United States. The building system components are cut to spec at our factory in Guam.
